HubSpot CRM for Gmail
Contact and deal records connected to Gmail
HubSpot CRM for Gmail adds sales tools to your inbox and logs email activity in the CRM. Install the Chrome extension; connect your mailbox for automatic logging and CRM email. Free includes Gmail integration for up to two users and 1,000 contacts.
What is HubSpot?
Gmail conversations can be logged to contacts, companies and deals in HubSpot. If you missed an email, use the extension to add it to the relevant records later.
Free also allows 1,000 records in total across other standard object types. A team of more than two users or a database of more than 1,000 contacts needs a paid product.
HubSpot interface languages
Traditional Chinese, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian Bokmål, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, Thai
These 17 CRM languages are available on all plans. Some features, including search, may receive translations later. Gmail extension languages may differ.
Who it suits
- Small teams starting with Gmail and a shared CRM
- Teams keeping contacts, meetings and sales activity together
Email linking
Add earlier sent or received Gmail messages to contact, company, deal or other CRM records.
Contact sync
Keep Google Contacts and HubSpot aligned with one-way or two-way sync of the main contact list.
Calendar sync
Sync meetings with Google Calendar and create calendar events from CRM meeting activity.
How HubSpot works with Gmail
Install HubSpot Sales in Chrome, then connect your individual Gmail mailbox in HubSpot. The extension can be installed without connecting a mailbox, but some email tools require that connection.
By default, automatic logging captures incoming and outgoing email involving existing CRM contacts. Reply-only mode logs replies to previously logged threads. Creating new contacts from incoming emails requires a beta option. Use the never-log list to exclude personal or internal addresses.
Getting started
- Install the Chrome extension while signed in to the Gmail account you use for customer email, then sign in to the correct HubSpot account.
- Connect your Gmail mailbox in HubSpot, grant Google permissions and check that your user has Personal email access.
- Review the logging rules and never-log list. Send an email to an existing CRM contact and check that it and the reply appear on the record.

Web capture
Save a webpage link, selected text or an area capture directly from the browser into a CRM note or task. Contact extraction, manual copy and paste, and a URL field alone do not count.
