Streak vs NetHunt is a choice between Gmail pipelines built around boxes and configurable CRM folders with a separate workspace. For a consultancy tracking proposals, choose the model that keeps each opportunity and its conversations easy to find. Compare automation on Streak Pro+ against NetHunt Business rather than their cheapest tiers: the entry plans do not include the same workflow features.

## How the record models affect daily work

Streak organizes a process as a pipeline and individual opportunities or cases as boxes. Its sidebar connects that information with an email conversation. A consultant could use a pipeline for enquiries and a box for each proposed engagement. The useful question is whether the same box can hold the context your next colleague needs, without turning a stage into a substitute for a missing field. [Streak’s overview](https://support.streak.com/en/articles/2542950-what-is-streak?utm_source=topcrm.app&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=crm_for_gmail) explains the model.

NetHunt presents CRM records and folders within Gmail, with contacts, companies and deals as familiar examples. Its [Gmail integration page](https://nethunt.com/integrations/gmail?utm_source=topcrm.app&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=crm_for_gmail) describes working with customer information and linked email from the inbox. Evaluate which information deserves a separate record and which should remain a field. More configuration choices only help if somebody owns the resulting structure.

Compare both products against the same workflow and requirements.

## Compare the same enquiry in both products

Use a fictional prospect who asks for a proposal, returns with a revised scope and later involves a second contact. In each trial, create the record, attach the relevant conversation, record the next action and hand responsibility to another user. Then ask that user to find the latest decision without relying on your explanation.

This exercise exposes practical differences that a feature checklist misses. Can you find the record from the email and the email from the record? Are unrelated conversations kept separate? Can you see an overdue action without opening every deal? Write down the result for your required workflow.

## Automation changes the plan comparison

Streak’s native integrations and workflow automation require Pro+ or Enterprise, according to its [automation documentation](https://support.streak.com/en/articles/6856282-introduction-to-integrations-automation?utm_source=topcrm.app&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=crm_for_gmail). Pro is therefore a core CRM comparison, while Pro+ is the more relevant starting point when triggered actions are essential. Define the trigger, action and exception before treating an automation checkbox as a solution.

NetHunt’s [plan guide](https://help.nethunt.com/en/articles/2628722-the-difference-between-the-pricing-plans?utm_source=topcrm.app&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=crm_for_gmail) excludes workflow automation and reports from Basic and Basic Plus. Business introduces those capabilities. Its documented limits also distinguish the number of workflows from monthly actions. A process that runs often can reach an action allowance even when it uses only one workflow. Ask how retries, branches and usage are counted for your proposed process.

## What the current prices mean

Checked on 2 November 2026, [Streak pricing](https://www.streak.com/pricing?utm_source=topcrm.app&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=crm_for_gmail) lists Pro at US$49 per user/month with annual billing or $59 monthly; Pro+ is $69 annually or $89 monthly. Streak’s free email tools do not include CRM pipelines. Its 14-day Pro+ trial should not be mistaken for a permanent free CRM tier.

[NetHunt pricing](https://nethunt.com/pricing?utm_source=topcrm.app&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=crm_for_gmail) lists Basic at $24 per user/month annually or $30 monthly, and Basic Plus at $34 annually or $42 monthly. Business is $60 per user/month on monthly billing; its annual price currently requires a quote. That matters: an older annual figure is not a current offer, and the lowest Basic price does not buy Business automation. Confirm taxes, currency and billing terms before purchase.

For three users, multiply the eligible per-user rate by three, then account for the billing commitment. Keep onboarding, migration and external automation services on the same cost sheet if your project needs them. A lower entry price can be useful for a manual process; it does not prove a lower total cost for a different feature set.

## A short selection checklist

Start with the information model, then validate email context and next actions. Next, check the required automation and reporting tier. Finally, export a small sample of your own non-confidential test records and inspect whether fields and relationships transfer as you expect. An export button alone does not guarantee a complete migration of every attachment or conversation.

Choose Streak if your team prefers managing its process through Gmail pipelines and accepts the relevant plan cost. Choose NetHunt if its record organization better matches your customer database and the required tier fits your budget. Neither conclusion follows from a universal winner score. Read the [Streak guide](https://topcrm.app/crm/streak/) and [NetHunt guide](https://topcrm.app/crm/nethunt/) for product-specific context. If neither structure fits, the [published alternatives comparison](https://topcrm.app/blog/streak-alternatives-for-gmail/) broadens the shortlist without changing this two-product decision.
